DES MOINES AP Three Iowa drivers and another from Omaha were cited by the state safety department for assisting at accident scenes. Two Council Bluffs truck drivers Donald Hendrix and Owen Gearhart aided at a crash on highway 6 near South Amana August 16 by using fire extinguishers and helping remove nine people from a wrecked car. Dr Henry L Wolfe of Marshalltown was commended for trying to extinguish a fire on highway 14 near Marshalltown July 25 and staying two hours to direct traffic. Max I Ellis of Omaha was commended for giving first aid at a crash on highway 75 near Missouri Valley August 16. All four received commendation letters from state safety commissioner Pearl W McMurry.
