Indians edge Burlington 4-3 as late rally saves win

Cedar Rapids snaps a five game skid with a 4-3 victory over Burlington in a crowd of 6,741 at Memorial Park. Dick Rigazio delivered a two out pinch single in the ninth scoring Jim Fanning, while Fanning also doubled twice for Cedar Rapids. Pitcher Rothrock earned the win in relief, with Stanka starting for Burlington and Blackburn taking the loss. The win narrows Cedar Rapids’ playoff path as Evansville closes in with a five game magic number.
