Couple finds space scrap from Atlas Centaur during Florida trip
Mr and Mrs Don Schindler of 1618 Eleventh Street NW Iowa found a heat deflector fragment from an Atlas Centaur booster at Kennedy Space Center during their Florida vacation. Oldest Currency Clues Found in Iranian Hoard
Archaeologists led by Dr. David Stronach uncover cut silver, ring money and silver bars at Tappeh Nush-ijan on the Jowkar plain about 200 miles southwest of Tehran. Dated 760 to 600 B.C., the hoard challenges theories on early coins and suggests money circulated on the Iranian plateau before the Achaemenians. The items were found with other artifacts in a bronze bowl near Pasargade, possibly the early Achaemenian capital.
