I Am a Camera at Times Theater Review

A screen version of the hit play starring Julie Harris and Laurence Harvey in a Berlin set tale of a young writer and his sophisticated on again off again girlfriend. Harris provides most of the sparkle while Harvey’s turn is solid but secondary. Shelley Winters’ German accent is not well handled. The film remains an adult comedy with touchy material and cautious censorship rather than a bold breakthrough.
