Three year old Irene Buchanan missing from foster care was found with her mother Ruth Borman near Newhall California. Police detained Borman and alleged driver M E Warner after her claim of kidnaping. Borman said grief drove the act. authorities questioned her statements as a possible extortion plot faded.
Stewart Memorial Library at Coe College was vandalized with red paint bearing messages such as Beat Coe and Yeah Cornell. Doors and pillars were daubed, a plaster-filled lock added to the damage. Cornell coaches and officials condemned the act, pledging to restore relations and prevent repeat vandalism.
In Quinton Oklahoma three full blood Choctaw babies were christened Roosevelt Garner and Murray by their parents Oscar and wife. The largest weighed eight pounds and bore Roosevelt while Garner weighed seven pounds and Murray five pounds. Governor Murray was honored with the smallest son.

Hutchinson Kansas AP report says attorneys for Mrs Marian Edward Shouse prepare a divorce suit against Jouett Shouse former chairman of the national democratic executive committee and former congressman. Petition will allege abandonment. Mrs Shouse and her two daughters reside in Hutchinson.
In Madison Wisconsin Tony Savone offered his four children as security against relief denial and brought the four girls to the relief department headquarters saying you wanted my property here it s. The relief worker Ruth Welton returned them home but Savone warned he would reclaim them once his food runs out.
George Farwell, Civil War veteran who helped elect Lincoln, will vote for the Republican ticket again on November 8. At 94 he calls ninety four a good voting age and says he has a 72 year streak of voting republican.

Two elephants visit the White House yard amid campaign symbolism as Young Republicans pledge votes.
Hyde Park near Marble Arch erupted as the Hunger Marchers clashed with hoodlums and spectators. Police charged the crowd driving back rioters as 100000 spectators watched. Fifty injured in the clashes, two carried away on stretchers, others with minor hurts.
