Cold Science From Dr Cecil Aims To Combat Colds
Dr Russel Lafayette Cecil of Cornell University spoke to about 200 doctors on cold control and arthritis findings. He says colds are caused by a filtrable virus, most contagious in the watery stage, and outlines vaccines and timing for winter protection. He notes aging lowers cold susceptibility and predicts a future influenza epidemic around 1940 to 1945. He also discusses arthritis treatment by heat, weight reduction, rest, and vitamins, and recommends dry Arizona air for beginning cases.
