Berlin reports a deepening rift in Germany's church crisis as Adolf Hitler refused to meet Reichsbishop Ludwig Mueller and oath commitments falter. Mueller and about two dozen bishops waited at the Reich's church offices, fearing the split could jeopardize the German Christian movement and Jaeger’s future.
