Haunted House on the Boulevard Stirs Cedar Rapids
In 1904 an empty house on First Avenue near the Boulevard outside Cedar Rapids drew ghostly reports after noises described as moans and groans. Local youths and Iowa National Guard soldiers investigated, windows broken and damage blamed on crowds. Will L Hoff, owner of Inter-State Schools, faced charges for the destruction. the haunting faded with Aug 3 filing and no further public updates.
