Urinary infections in women recur and thyroid eyebrow rumor
The column explains two types of urinary tract infections upper affecting kidneys and lower affecting the bladder with bladder infections being common in women. It notes shorter female urethras easier bacteria access and that sexual activity can introduce bacteria. Recurrences need evaluation to distinguish relapse from new infection and treatment may involve longer or postintercourse antibiotic use. Cranberry juice daily may help. Eyebrow thinning alone is not a thyroid sign.
