Trolley death linked to teen jealousy in Cedar Rapids region
Emma Berger, 16, tearfully told Philadelphia police that Joseph Majerceak chased Benjamin Perkowski, 20, after a party confrontation over the girl. A trolley struck Perkowski minutes later, killing him, with police calling the trolley the instrument of death. Separately, Frank E. Samuel of Missouri was named national adjutant of the American Legion by Commander Louis A. Johnson.
