Caterpillar trims 2015 profit outlook amid weak demand
Caterpillar posted third quarter net income of 368 million dollars, 62 cents a share, down from 1.02 billion a year earlier. Revenue fell to 11 billion dollars from 13.5 billion. The company cut its 2015 earnings outlook to 3.70 dollars a share and to 4.60 excluding restructuring costs, while keeping revenue guidance near 48 billion.
