Hubble captures colliding galaxies a preview of space collision
Images from the Hubble Space Telescope show the Antennae galaxies in a violent merge of two spirals. Astrophysicists say such collisions create thousands of new stars and globular clusters and may foreshadow our Milky Way's distant fate as Andromeda approaches at 300000 miles per hour, a 5 billion year event.
