Cedar Rapids unveils the nations first fully automated parking ramp cashier system at the Five Seasons Parkade. Auto-Tote of Newark provides three pay stations and exit machines with tokens and dollar options. City officials expect strong efficiency gains and cost savings, projecting a three to four year payback and annual revenue benefits.
Six Church of England vicars met with ASTMS representatives to push for better pay and working conditions. Rev Neil Richardson says clergy risks job loss without appeal and cites a vicar in Oldham earning around 5800 dollars yearly as example. He notes unlikely strikes, joking about going slow and not filling in forms.
