The 26-by-39 foot home on Pleasant Hill Drive features a walkout basement, direct kitchen-dining access, casement windows, and interior walls with extensive wood paneling.
Elmer M Hermans of 1418 Oakland Rd NE bought the duplex at 1523 BE Ave NE from Margaret Benda of Iowa City. The sale was by Tait and Wagner Associates. John R Welbes of Hiawatha bought 1513 First St SW from Marie Sommer for Nov 1 possession via Tait and Wagner. Fairfax Gardens lot sold by Iowa Fund Inc to Jim Exline and wife of Fairfax for building plans. Tait and Wagner also handled the sale of a south-adjoining lot to Richard Crissinger for a four-plex.
Mr and Mrs Charles R Sedores former Cedar Rapids residents who recently returned from Honolulu take possession of a new house at 172 Harbet Avenue NW They bought it from Spencer Development Corp through Tommy Tucker Realty.
