Driver Collapses Behind Wheel Rams Trinity School Home
W. Don Threlkeld, 41, Insurance salesman of 1323 C avenue NE, was taken ill while driving on Sixth street SW and crashed into Charles W Laabs’s residence at 446 Fourth avenue SW. The car, a 1952 Ford, smashed a six foot hole in the foundation. Laabs is Trinity Lutheran School superintendent. Threlkeld was hospitalized with a jaw injury and lacerations. investigators suggest illness caused loss of control. Classes at Trinity had been dismissed earlier that afternoon.
