Swedish peace activist wins Nobel-style prize for women’s aid network
Marta Cullberg Weston, now in Iowa City, helped found Kvinna till Kvinna in 1993 to aid Yugoslavian women after war and ethnic cleansing. The group trains local centers to provide trauma care, medical, and legal help, paying women delivering services. Weston remains on the KTK board and travels annually to project sites.
