Robinson Held For U S Court On Counterfeiting Charge
Myles Robinson of Oxford Mills Iowa was held for the federal district court opening Oct 80 after a Friday appearance before U S Commissioner Albert Black on charges of possession of counterfeit coins. Unable to post 10000 bond he was sent back to the county jail. Secret service reports say Robinson learned to make counterfeit money in Fort Madison where he served time for theft. Edmund Chapman, 22, of Oxford Mills and others were also detained. Recent Jones county robberies are linked to the case and authorities recovered firearms, high explosives, and assorted articles. Chapman allegedly claimed he passed counterfeit half dollars.
