PRINGVILLE Me announces the approaching marriage of Twila Ann to Raymond Wyman son of Mr and Mrs Wyman. The ceremony is slated for November in an hours time at a location in town.
Mr and Mrs William Hotch kins of Laguna Beach California left for home Tuesday after a week visiting Mr and Mrs Don Swarthout Mrs Alice Gordon and other relatives Mrs Herbert Hulse and her son and Mrs Nita Robertson of Cheyenne Wyoming left Wednesday after several weeks in the home of Mr and Mrs George Roberson Mr and Mrs Tony Halway left Monday for a two week trip through the East Dr and Mrs Forrest Barkdoll of Reed City Michigan left Tuesday after visiting relatives in Garrison at Van Horne
Mount Vernon notes weekend visitors for Cornell college centennial festivities. Or ville Rennies Roy Bowmans Walt Navins Morton Keplers Don Pringles and John B Bryants will be present. AAAW meets Wednesday at 8 p.m. with Mrs Dwain Dedrick to hear Money Management by Mrs W E Bigger and Mrs Elsie Kelly. Craft guild hosts an all day meeting Monday with potluck lunch and glove making study. Woman's club music department meets Monday at 8 p.m. with Mrs J H Davis.
King’s Daughters Ivez Circle will meet at St Luke's hospital. Delegates from the convention include Inez Rasmussen and Winfield Decker, with president. Members are asked to bring provisions and coffee and seating arrangements are noted.
Mr and Mrs Fred Vifian announce the engagement of their daughter Marilyn to Richard Wenger son of Mr and Mrs Harry Wenger of Masonville. The wedding is planned for December 13 in the Methodist church here. The bride elect works in the offices of Attys Williamson and Pettit while the groom, recently discharged after two years in Germany, works as a carpenter.
Mr and Mrs Benton Jolliffe of Albuquerque New Mexico are visiting Mrs Jolliffe and Mr L W Durs. Mrs Margaret Boyant of Little Rock visits Mr and Mrs H B Rugg. Mrs Ella Griffith of Cheyenne Wyoming visits her brother in law and sister Mr and Mrs Charles Luezey.
Mr and Mrs C H Rumbles of 1914 Park Ave SE observe their sixty third anniversary with a dinner at their home. Eighteen attend including two of seven children and many relatives. couple married Oct 15 1890. Both active in Methodist church and Pythians.
Gamma Kappa Couples of Trinity Lutheran Church held its annual Halloween party at the Wapsie YMCA camp Friday with twenty couples. Rev. E H Widmann served as toastmaster at dinner and the topic study was The Wife of the Great Reform er. Officers elected were Lynn Kehm president and Delbert Krug vice president. The entertainment committee included Walter Detlefsen Krug David McDonald and Wilmer Werning.
Dr and Mrs R T Jones of McCook Nebraska returned home Tuesday after a three day visit at the V V Brown home. Mrs Carrie Hochsteier of Jefferson Oregon was a guest Monday in the John Allender home. Lynda Mae and Patty Ann Freeman of Tecumseh Kansas returned Tuesday after visiting grandparents Mr and Mrs Moses Beasley. Linn chapter 74 of O E S will meet Tuesday to honor past matrons and patrons. Wimodausis club will meet Friday at 2 p m at the O E S hall. Hostesses will be Mrs John J the Gs Mrs M M Filloon and Mrs C H Becker. Friendly Neighbors Garden club and families will have a wiener roast Friday evening at Mrs William Jordan home with Mrs John Harris assisting hostess. The WWW club of Waubeek will meet Wednesday with Mrs Mabel Paul.
Roosevelt School will present the play Seven Sisters next Saturday at 8 p.m. in the school auditorium directed by Miss Roberta Dinwiddie Sheetz. The cast features Judith Chadima as the widow Gyurkovics with seven daughters played by Beverly Bogart Clarke Dilsaver Thomas Owen Harrison and Donnan.
