Union Grove Lake restoration may cost $1 million
State officials say Union Grove Lake needs about a million dollars to restore and protect the lake at Union Grove State Park. Silt flows into the lake at 12 acre feet per year, threatening the lake’s depth and future usefulness. The project, supported by the Lake and Park Holding Corp and state and federal agencies, aims to slow siltation, dredge the lake, install an aerator, and add sediment ponds with funding from EPA and state sources.
