He belonged to Cedar Rapids Real Estate Board and several local organizations. Friends may call at the chapel Friday afternoon.
AP reports that Dmitri Shostakovich and four other leading Russian composers arrive next Friday for a cultural exchange tour. The fall TV season opens at 8 p m Friday with Sunset Strip on Television 9.
DETROIT AP General Motors said Friday that more than 60000 hourly workers are idled by the steel strike. It noted a Chevrolet assembly plant in Framingham Mass was to close Friday, idling about 500 workers, with several GM parts plants down previously. No other auto maker has curtailed production yet.
