Cedar Rapids Hints at Fast Bond Sale for Airport Terminal
Mayor Don Canney stated the city will proceed with a general obligation bond sale for the new Cedar Rapids airport terminal as quickly as possible. The plan follows a November sale target amid fluctuating interest rates, with PCM and a construction firm to value engineer, cutting costs to under 8 million while Bates from Peat, Marwick, Mitchell estimates total project cost around 18.6 million and airline leasing negotiations near conclusion.
