Larger lamb crop indicated for 1940
Chicago reports indicate lamb feeding in 1939 40 will be larger than 1938 39. Corn belt shipments and stockyard inspections rise, while western states show declines. Colorado and Scotts Bluff expect smaller feeding. California may see a rise. Winter wheat pasture looks limited across the Great Plains, pushing lambs toward feed lots or regional feeding areas.
