Majors Teens trade sports for band at Springville
Springville students Collins and DeVore choose marching band over volleyball and basketball to preserve the school’s band tradition. They wake at 5 45 a m for practices five days a week and note the program’s progress since Weber became director. The band has grown to 65 musicians in a 400-student school, aiming to maintain the 1920s reputation Roy Schwab fostered.
