A 30 year old Negro woman, Lorraine Graves of Annapolis, gave birth to quadruplets at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The four babies, three girls and a boy, were reported healthy and doing fine, with doctors awaiting 72 hours for clearer condition signs. Graves is married to George Graves and lives with her mother Temperance Simms. she has two sets of twins among her previous children. Statistically quadruplets occur about once in 657,000 confinements.
Millie Tane Bolton 90, a Springville native, died Saturday in Des Moines after 20 years with her daughter Mrs Forest Smith. Survived by four sons and five daughters, two brothers, four sisters, services Monday 3:30 at Presbyterian church, burial in Springville cemetery. Friends may call Murdoch chapel in Marion after 1 p.m. Sunday.
Verlyn L Larson, 30, of 616 4th Ave SE, was arrested Saturday for a break in Friday night at Ace Electronics 1024 First St SW. He allegedly took $75 cash a portable TV a recorder and a record player after breaking a window. He was released shortly after arrest on a writ by the district court clerk.

Donald Thomas of Winterset was named secretary treasurer. a vice president will be chosen next month. The group opposed Friends of Lincoln proposals for a 25 thousand dollar Lincoln statue and backed a state panel to advise on monument artist selection. Sioux City was chosen as 1910 convention headquarters.
A nine year old Cedar Rapids girl Shery Christy was struck by a car on Center Point road near Forty second street NE and hospitalized at St Luke s with a fractured shoulder facial lacerations and bruises. The driver Robert Westerbeck of Toddyifle was charged with failure to have his vehicle under control.
