Guttenberg men receive NEA Folk Arts Apprenticeships
Four Guttenberg men Gregory Kann Steve Hansel Bradley Miller and Vernon Heck each receive 1500 NEA Folk Arts Apprenticeships to study blacksmithing under master Gus Gadow. Gadow trains in Guttenberg at Kann Manufacturing and in his own shop with two decades of blacksmithing experience. The apprentices will compensate Gadow for his instruction as they learn from his forge craft.
