Nebraska rolled to a 48-14 victory over Iowa State as Eric Crouch tied the NCAA career rushing TD record for a quarterback. The Cornhuskers built a 41-0 lead by halftime at Memorial Stadium before 78,002 fans. Keyno Craver returned a Senecca Wallace pass 57 yards for a TD to open scoring. Crouch added his rushing score late in the first quarter. Dan McCarney's Cyclones faced a dominant Husker attack and failed to match Nebraska's pace.
Iowa's defense dominate for three quarters but Purdue breaks through in the fourth to win 23 14. Purdue sacks Iowa quarterback Kyle McCann five times while Matt Stockdale and the Hawkeyes scramble to stop the Boilermakers in the battle on the road.
Iowa struggles on special teams and defense in a 23-14 defeat at Purdue. The Hawkeyes defense, led by Fred Barr and Aaron Kampman, allowed two fourth quarter drives as Purdue pulled ahead with a Brandon Hance TD and a Travis Dorsch 37 yard field goal. Iowa's Kyle McCann and offense stalled after a late three-and-out.
