In August 1934 about 17 950 people toured Ford Motor Company's Rouge plant in Dearborn Michigan. Visitors rode buses to Gate No 3 to view the complex, including a century of industrial capacity and a vast foundry and steel operation. By August 8 months total visitors reached 48 662, nearly matching the 1933 yearly total.
