Fort Atkinson Rendezvous brings 14th century reenactors to life
The Fort Atkinson Iowa site hosted a weekend Rendezvous with participants dressed as fur traders, Indians, and soldiers. Events featured skillet and tomahawk throwing, cannon drills, melodramas, colors, crafts, and trading. Spectators covered ears as Cassville Wisconsin’s Ghost Garrison fired a cannon, while Red Hanover of Palo directed buckskinners Clyde Triplett and Ken Kohler during a melodrama.
