NIH official says AIDS spread is manageable not panic
Dr. Murray Goldstein of the NIH told Des Moines audiences AIDS is not new and not spread by coughing or skin contact, though its epidemic spread in the United States concerns researchers. He noted long incubation, possible blood donor risks, and efforts to identify the virus and sterilize blood products. He spoke at a convocation for the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences.
