Wilton depot restoration pulls community together

The Wilton Historical Society nears a 72000 goal to renovate the 1898 double bay Rock Island Muscatine depot six miles north of Muscatine on Highway 6. Volunteers including Naval Army reserves and local railroad men restore the building and plan a museum with telegraph equipment and a dispatchers telephone.

Eastern Iowa parole officers weigh arming option
