Nixon China Visit Endorsed by VA Director Johnson
Administrator Don Johnson of the Veterans Administration backed President Nixon’s mainland China trip to reopen relations. He said negotiators must proceed without early criticism and that any leadership change in China would still keep discussions alive. Johnson, in Iowa to speak at several events, also discussed VA issues and plans to send a VA representative to Marshalltown to review nursing-wing access for patients.
