Cedar Rapids Community School District board president Curran Rosser said five members will interview Harold Guthrie in East Penn School District, Emmaus Pennsylvania, and five members will interview Daniel Keck in Paducah Kentucky. The board plans a Dec. 10 closed session and Dec. 13 public decision.

Burglars Break In At 140 21st Ave SW
Burglars removed a panel of glass from a door at the residence of Tammy K. Van Beek. They pried the door open and took a stereo system worth 1300 dollars from the living room. Entry appears to have been gained by removing screws and unlocking the door.

Linn Health proposes 5 percent management pay rise
Linn County Health Department plans a 5 percent salary increase for management staff as part of its 1983 84 budget. Executive Director Keith Erickson notes the rise keeps management costs 3.42 percent higher than 1981 82 levels due to less experienced current staff. Erickson would see his pay rise from 35500 to 37275 to become part of a nine person management total of 224701 42 percent over 1981 217270. The overall proposed budget would be 827646, about 49000 above 1981 levels.
