UNI wins thriller with Wingert field goal in NCAA I-AA opener
Northern Iowa erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat Eastern Washington 41-38 in Cedar Falls. QB Erik Meyer threw for 387 yards, while UNI sophomore Eric Sanders matched with 330 yards and two TDs as Wingert's 31-yard field goal with 51 seconds left capped the rally before 7,746 fans and advanced UNI to a quarterfinal at New Hampshire.
