Mordechai Louk an Israeli man found chained inside a diplomatic trunk at Rome's airport last week returned to fly to Tel Aviv as a willing passenger. Italian police escorted him and guarded him during the flight. Israeli officials earlier said he wished to return to Israel after the incident which led to three UAR diplomats being expelled.

Freida Geiken of 814 Wilson Avenue SW was found hanged in her basement around 1 p.m. Tuesday by her son John. Detectives classify it as an apparent suicide. Born 1904 in Newhall she worked 21 years at Wilson & Co Cedar Rapids. Fry and Holland Funeral Home of Vinton handles arrangements.
Charles Dudycha 96 of Cedar Rapids died Monday after a short illness. He taught in Nebraska and Iowa and was superintendent of Quaker Oats shipping. Surviving his wife Blanche, a daughter, a son, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Memorial Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Hesser Memorial chapel. Burial Oak Hill. Wilma Halcyon Hulsebus 57 of Cedar Rapids died Tuesday after a long illness. She was secretary for 23 years at Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric Co. Surviving husband and two brothers. Memorials to Sinclair Church Memorial Fund. Services Friday 9 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rosaries Wednesday 7:30 p.m. at Monaghan-Stewart funeral home and Thursday 7:30 p.m. at Msgr. Roach and St Rose Circle.
Bernie E Abney aged 56 of 740 Thirtieth Street Drive SE Cedar Rapids dies Monday after a long illness. Born Bemidji Minnesota April 30 1908 he married Angeline Hromatka June 4 1935. Survived by wife two sons Douglas and Paul a daughter Debra Lee three sisters and a late son Dennis. He was personnel manager for Century Engineering Co donor church and fraternal lodge member. Memorial services to be announced at Hesser chapel with viewing Thursday after 2 pm.
Mary Sova aged 87 of 816 Sixteenth Street SE Cedar Rapids died Monday after a long illness. Born June 10, 1877 in Czechoslovakia she was widow of James Sova and lived in Cedar Rapids 61 years. Survived by two daughters Mrs E G Christle and Mrs Joseph Christle both of Cedar Rapids a son Albert five grandchildren 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Chapel services set for Friday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev William Harnish burial at Czech National Cemetery Friends may call at the chapel.
Anna Belle Farrington 83 widow of Clinton E Farrington died Tuesday after a lingering illness. Born February 6 1883 in Manchester she lived in Cedar Rapids most of her life. She married June 20 1911. Survived by son Clinton J Farrington Cedar Rapids and two sisters Alice Kelsh and Mrs W W Chyle Protovin. She belonged to St Rose Circle of Immaculate Conception church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Coralville resident Richard Gerald Wolf, 37, was fined 500 dollars by District Judge William Eads after a July 22 arrest two miles northwest of Cedar Rapids on highway 74. Thomas C. Ford, 61, received 300 dollars on a first offense from Municipal Judge Loren Hullinger Jr. A third man, Jorgen Walter Wilson, 71, waived to the grand jury after a November 7 arrest in Mt. Vernon for drunk driving.
Robert Lavern Irons, 18, of 13000 Avenue NE, had parole revoked by Judge Warren Rees on the parole agent's recommendation from a ten year sentence at Anamosa reformatory. Irons gained parole Aug 11 after pleading guilty to breaking and entering for which the parole was granted. Parole Agent Harold Cerveny urged revocation after Irons bought beer and whisky and became intoxicated.
Linn district court records show three new lawsuits totaling 12,078.90 seeking damages from the Cedar Rapids Transfer and Storage warehouse fire on May 22. Plaintiffs Lefebvre Corp Commercial Union Fire Insurance Co Great American Insurance Co name Tip-Top Distributing Co and Cedar Rapids Transfer and Storage Co as defendants over alleged negligence by Tip-Top employees or the transfer firm.
Judge Charles Penningroth in Cedar Rapids orders Niagara Tent and Awning Co. to pay Jimmie R. Snodgrass workers compensation for facial disfigurement. Benefits total 3.75 weeks at 34 dollars plus 1.25 weeks at 38 dollars plus 51.40 dollars hospital bills. State commissioner had issued prior judgment. district court ruling follows noncompliance by Ostrander.

A county attorney asked Judge Warren Rees to reset the case of Lye Joy Hyke of Marengo. The judge set aside the true information charging rape and ordered the matter to be presented to the grand jury in January. Hyke is 30.
