Winter weather delays Cedar Rapids area high school basketball

A winter storm disrupted the opening weekend of Iowa high school basketball in the Cedar Rapids Marion area. Prairie high’s home opener with Anamosa was moved to Saturday night at 8. Linn Mar at Coggon in Allac was postponed. LaSalle uncertain about Regina of Iowa City home opener. Washington at Waterloo men’s game with West postponed. Washington wrestling start at home versus Newton rescheduled.

Nicklaus Weathered Rain As Palmer Leads Cajun Classic

In Lafayette, Arnold Palmer shot 74 as rain halted play at the Cajun Classic. Jack Nicklaus had four birdies through eight holes before the day was washed out, leaving Burt Yancey tied for the lead after a 67 before conditions paused play.
