One Iowa urges Bob Vander Plaats to denounce comments about the Medal of Honor by an associate. Vander Plaats defends honoring sacrifices while critics say his stance disrespects service and misstates the award. Des Moines veterans condemn the remarks as dishonoring Giunta’s service.
