Volunteer saves Ellis Island tours on Saturdays and Sundays
Eric McGarvey, a 1992 Kennedy High School graduate born in Cedar Rapids, volunteers on Ellis Island with Save Ellis Island. He works the information desk and leads tours, balancing a NYC HR job with a 1.5 hour weekend ferry ride for a cause tied to immigrant history and early U S public health advances.
