Handbooks Explain How Small Libraries Access Major Services
Librarians in 23 counties will receive a new handbook by Nelle Neafie detailing inter library loan and reference procedures. The guides cover locating books regionally, ILITE network searches, and access to large print items, tapes, and records across ECRL and NIRL regions. The distribution starts in both regions, with Cedar Rapids and Waterloo libraries offering reference services. On this date in 1973 Nixon signed the Alaska pipeline bill as a step toward energy self sufficiency by 1980.
