Highway 965 Bridge Opens Early After Quick Replacement
The Highway 965 bridge over the Iowa River opened five days ahead of schedule, ending over five months of traffic disruption. Cramer and Associates earned a $3,000 per day incentive for finishing early under a contract with Johnson County, while delays earlier forced a 20 ton weight limit and single lane traffic. The project, worth just under $1 million, used VJ Engineering for fast track design and included post opening painting and cleaning under the bridge.
