Trump and Obama hold first meeting in White House transition

President Barack Obama and President-elect Donald Trump met in the White House to begin a 10 week transfer of power. Obama called him Mr President-elect and pledged a smooth handoff while Trump promised to seek Obama's counsel in the coming weeks. They also met with House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Capitol Hill.

Ely veteran finally receives corrected Silver Star certificates

Iowa DOT director Paul Trombino to resign in November
