No more testimony to be heard from Ray
The House Assassinations Committee will not call James Earl Ray to testify again from his Tennessee prison. Chairman Louis Stokes said there is no useful purpose in bringing Ray back after review of his October testimony and prior depositions. The panel will accept written communications for the record if Ray has more to say. Ray’s lawyer Mark Lane had claimed new FBI involvement, but the committee found no supporting evidence.
