Five persons were charged with drunk driving Thursday night and Friday morning. James P. Ballard, 45, New Berlin, was arrested at 10 58 p m after a vehicle crash in a tavern parking lot on the 100 block of F avenue NW. Donald A. Woods, 49, 626 Twenty-first avenue SW, arrested at 3 05 a m after avoiding an accident in the 2700 block of Sixth street SW. Keith L. Chesmore, 41, 1619 K avenue NE, arrested at 2 40 a m in the 700 block of Lindale drive for speeding. Today philosopher and historian Will Durant is 91.
