Higher Education $5.4 Million Spent on Efficiency Review

The Iowa Board of Regents has spent about $5.4 million on an efficiency review for the state universities with contracts to Deloitte KH Ad Astra Pappas Huron and Chazey involving more than $5.7 million in all and potential future payments. Deloitte led the project with subcontracted academic work to KH Ad Astra and Pappas. later two new firms included, with travel costs totaling $165,377. Projections originally estimated $30 to $80 million in annual savings, though officials warn figures may be lower and slower to materialize.
