Priest warns Americans of Latin American war ties
The Rev. Roy Bourgeois, a Maryknoll priest, argues U.S. policy in El Salvador supports ruling elites and militarized intervention. He cites 22 000 deaths since 1979 and urges working people to withhold a third of income tax for peaceable aid. He links U.S. money to oppression and calls for self determined paths in El Salvador.
