Authorities say six foreign objects were found in children’s Halloween candy in Cedar Rapids. Pins or needles appeared in at least three Three Musketeers bars in the 400 to 600 blocks of Seventh Eighth and Ninth avenues SW, plus pins in a Cedar Hills bar and an apple. An M-80 firecracker injured 13 year old David Schillig near Richmond Road and 40th Street NE.

Gas refund lowers Iowa Illinois bills in November
Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric will credit about 22 dollars to an average Iowa residential bill in November due to a 9 percent interest included refund of 9.5 million dollars from pipeline company settlements.
