Jeffrey Brian Birr age 68 of Cedar Rapids died May 29 2024 after a brief illness. A private graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. He was born April 20 1956 to Thomas and Joan Birr and lived in Cedar Rapids. Survived by siblings, nieces and nephews, plus many close friends. Donations to Mount Vernon United Methodist Church and Camp Courageous preferred. The family thanks medical staff at St Luke's Hospital and Inpatient Hospice.

Barbara Jane Feeney known as Barb of Iowa City died May 25 2024 at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. She was born January 10 1931 to Francis and Eugenia Boyle, raised on Oakland Avenue, married Richard Feeney in 1953, and raised four children. Barb worked at the Johnson County Treasurer and University of Iowa Hospital, but mainly devoted herself to family, school PTO groups, Boy Scouts, Catholic ministry, and charity work. She remained active in Hawkeye sports and the local community, enjoyed puzzles and reading, and left a large circle of friends including The Kindergarten Girls and the Breakfast Club at Panera Bread. She is survived by her children Rick Sue and John and their families. memorials may go to St. Wenceslaus Altar and Rosary Society or the Johnson County Humane Society. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery followed a June 2024 service at St. Wenceslaus Church.
