Suspect charged in Victor man death

Peter Riggs 31 of Columbus Nebraska is jailed on first degree murder charges for the Saturday night shooting of Jeffrey McAdam 46 a Victor maintenance worker at a rest stop near mile marker 208 on I 80. Darrell Rustad Wisconsin truck driver found McAdam bleeding and notified 911. Riggs is held in the Iowa County Jail.

Bomber pilot honors military chaplains in Iowa

Cedar Rapids veteran Jim Pippenger, 89, after 35 bombing missions in World War II and 10,000 hours of commercial flying, founded the Church State and Industry Foundation to support military chaplains. The group will award over $60,000 in scholarships this year to seminarians and civilian clergy.
