Mentzer School To Open By December Says Marion Officials
Marion Independent officials expect to begin using the Mentzer elementary school by December this year. Construction is on schedule as cement floors in general rooms are poured while floors in special education and rest areas near completion. Kindergarten through sixth grade will be housed in the new building east of Marion high school athletic field at Third avenue and Third street. Students and faculty will be temporarily housed at the Lincoln building until completion.
