Mr and Mrs Leo Sedlacek remodeled their Cedar Rapids residence at 278 Fifteenth Street NW this spring. They opened an arch between dining and living rooms, added casement windows with copper screens, improved lighting, and painted walls white buff ivory. The project cost under 200 dollars plus new furniture, and they plan to replace the dining table with a foldaway apartment model to free floor space. They also lightened the kitchen with white enamel and red accents, noting three coats of paint proved transformative.
