Cedar Rapids to convert Second and Third Avenues to two way
Cedar Rapids city plans a summer conversion of Second Avenue from Sixth Street SW to First Street SE and Third Avenue from Sixth Street SW to Third Street SE to two way traffic. The change ends back in angle parking on the bridges over the Cedar River and aligns with the master plan to convert one ways to two ways. Work begins in July and should finish by October, with traffic signals at Third Street SW and L Street SW turned off and replaced as part of the project.
